Info needed in loan store robbery
Investigators are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect responsible for an aggravated robbery at a payday loan store earlier this month.
According to Crime Stoppers of Houston, the incident occurred Jan. 11 at approximately 12:50 p.m. at a store located in the 2300 block of Fry Road near Saums Road.
“The suspect approached the counter of the business and inquired about a loan,” a statement from Crime Stoppers said. “As the clerk began to comment, the suspect withdrew a pistol, pointed it at the victim and demanded cash.
“The victim complied with the suspect’s demands and surrendered an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect forced the victim into the business’ back office, where he demanded more cash prior to fleeing the scene.”
The suspect is described as a black male between the ages of 18 and 25. He is 5 feet, 7 inches to 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighs 150-175 pounds.
At the time of the incident, the suspect was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, a white striped shirt, dark pants and white shoes.

Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for any information that leads to the filing of felony charges or arrest of the suspect in this case. All tipsters remain anonymous.
